WPE With WoW
i used to be able to use WPE with wow private servers but it hasn't been working lately, it wont even let me target wow, if anyone can help me get it targeted i think i can do all of the other work, i just wondered if anyone else has that problem that they could be helped also, i have been searching the forums, but i havn't seen a thread on actually hacking wow. When i pull up the programs list, wow.exe isn't on there so i dont know whats going on with it, if anyone can help that would be nice.
Recording or sending packets... OR BOTH?
he says he has a problem attaching the program to the game -.-
furtiv your right on, can anyone help out?
can anyone help me?
There are a couple of issues I can think of. First check with ctrl-alt-del, and make sure you can see WoW's process under the processes tab. If you can't, go to applications, right-click WoW while it's running, and pick "Go To Process" at the bottom to make sure it isn't just using a weird name under the process list. This leaves three options:
A. WoW is using a weird process name, in which case you can just select that name with WPE Pro and be on your merry way.
B. WoW's process is hidden, probably by a rootkit of some sort. There are various programs out there for defeating this kind of hiding, try google.
C. WoW's process exists just fine, but for whatever reason WPE Pro can't find it. This is probably the worst-case scenario, it means either WPE Pro is glitching out or WoW is blocking its own detection somehow. Try reinstalling/moving WPE Pro, or looking for a slightly modified version via google (HINT: try using "WPE CSE" as a search term).

If none of these help, try posting some more details.
Alright here is what i have found, when i run wow it is under the process as wow.exe (note it is not in the original wow folder, it is for private servers and i play real servers also) but wow.exe does show up. When i open WPE i look for processes its not there, yet i look on my task manager and bing there it is. So i downloaded WPE CSE and i looked and no gold its not on the process list for it. BUT, i open cheat engine (ReymiX Engine) and i see it just perfectly fine, but when i try to attach it i get an error. I am starting to think that it does have a "rootkit" or that it is even protecting itself, because when i run the real version it doesn't show up either. I know it is possible to hack still because i have seen people doing it on the server i am playing on. If there is a rootkit i just need some help either bypassing or completely getting rid of it.
Any chance I could see a screenshot with WoW minimized, ctrl-alt-del's process list showing WoW.exe just fine, and the target program list for WPE Pro not showing it? It might help.
.. right...
i realize...
this is what maple story and kal online did to prevent using cheat engine or packet sniffers in game...
they tried to use stealth mode so you can't see the .exe in processes...
you have to do something with process watcher which you can get by editing some of the settings... but thats only for cheat engine.
i used to be able to use wpe with it i just want to find out how to do it again
i downloaded a process watcher, it didn't do anything, and when i try to use it with the CE it gives me error and closes even when protected
wpe has a option to start programs for you, and it attaches to them at the same time...
Really? What version are you using? I know CE can do that, but my WPE Pro can't (or at least the option is well hidden).
