Exceptionals Guide to Earning Mesos!
To start off, this guide is based for BERA. The following concepts can be used in any world however prices which may be mentioned in the following tutorial will be BERA based. Please keep that in mind. In this guide, I will be telling you almost everything I know (or can remember at this point) in terms of making mesos. I will not be listing prices to each and every item due to constant price changes. Below are various methods which can be used in order to roll in the cash.
Mesos Rankings.
First Class: Less than 1m
Second Class: Less than 10m
Third Class: Less than 50m
Fourth Class: Less than 200m
Fifth Class: Less than 500m
Sixth Class: 500m+
These 'classes' are just a guide for you. This is for you to keep in mind on where your status of mesos is currently ranked. I will be adding these classes at the bottom of each method, which is just an indication of what and how you should be earning your mesos.
Method #1 ~ Training & Looting.
Very basic and straight forward method to begin with. Pretty self-explanatory, whatever your current level is, you should be training somewhere where it takes 1-3 hits in order to kill the monster (Without a massive over-kill of course). If you're in need of mesos, by all means, LOOT it. Many people can't be bothered or think they don't need to loot. If you're in need, just do it. Obviously if you're grinding and are not in such a desperate need to make some cash, don't loot. However, even if you're in a high 'class' and an equip has been dropped, pick it up - It may have a good potential which can be sold for quite some money.
This method should be used by: Any class. Mainly directed to the first and second since they are in a bigger need for mesos.
Method #2 ~ Quests.
Most quests on Maplestory are pretty pointless and the rewards are not so special. Here is a list of quests which can be completed to earn decent mesos. If you are Lvl 36, it is HIGHLY recommended that you complete "Subani's Legacy"
This method should be used by: First, Second, Third & Fourth Classes.
Method #3 ~ Clean Work Gloves.
Clean work gloves are a high demand in the free market. There are many Work-Glove Scrollers who want to buy clean WG's rather than make them. By speaking to JM from tha streetz in Kerning City, he can synthesize work gloves for 15 leathers and 1000 mesos. Obtaining leathers is not very difficult, even though it can be sold for some thousand each in the FM. Use the following link in order to see which monsters drop leathers:
[/URL]Obtain as much leathers as you can, and synthesize as many work gloves as possible. More leathers = More Profit. Once the desired amount of work gloves have been made, head over to the FM and sell away! Items are sold at their best prices in stores. I have seen clean work gloves sell for as much as 1mil each (in Bera stores).
This method should be used by: First, Second, Third & Fouth Classes.
Method #5 ~ Merchanting in the FM.
There are heaps of ways in which someone can merchant. However, the main key about merchanting is buying low and selling average-high. A key element someone needs to possess in order to be one of the best merchanters is patience. Without patience, don't expect the best of results. In order to merchant effectively, you MUST have a store permit. Whether it's a regular or a mushie, it's a requirement. FMs 1-6 are the best spots to set up a store, followed by FM 7, 13 & 18. Any other door spots (or close to) are half decent.
For you to recognize the prices, it's recommended to surf the FM pretty often. Basilmarket auctions have the cheapest sales and is not always a reliable source to find out prices of items. The FM Entrance generally has the average prices and stores tend to be a bit more expensive with more offer-takings. Instead of me explaining different types of merchanters, how you should talk to others and typical general knowledge, I'm just going to cut to the chase and tell you guys my method.
If you are classified as a first or second 'class' player, use other methods listed in this guide to make money - or other merchanting ways. Only buy items that are 'popular' or most exchanged amongst players for faster sales. I'm not a big fan of merchanting scrolls, mainly just the usual items.
Once you have around 50m this is the beginning of the big cash flow. In the FM Entrance, something similar to this is what I would spam.

It's up to you if you would like to mention your offer in the chat or not. I do say the prices to save arguments over trades regarding what the current price is. There are other items which you could buy at this level, I just mentioned a few.
Once you have around 200m, something similar to this is what I would spam. As I said before, there are other items. These are just a few.

Once you have 500m+, now is the time where you make the best profit. At this stage you want to be buying items that 'pros' are in need for. For example, you would want to buy unique/epic items for good prices as well as 50% Scrolls, Chairs, Pacs, Masks, Gachapon Items & much more. Prices of these vary by what item you are presented with in the trade so do not mention prices.
