Weapon Sound Modding

I followed the steps to replace weapon sounds in the .rez files using the tutorials, but the sounds I replace end up not having any effect. The weapon sounds I replaced become mute or something so I don't hear any gunfire from those certain guns.

Can someone help?

well you just created a gun that is even better than silenced mate. you should just use it as players can think of it as an unintentional glitch and not accuse you of hacking.
