Hey. Been having problems as of a small patch today. Perhaps its because official servers came back up? Don't know, but it said something about downloading from the server.

You can not get banned for changing materials, the same goes for all source games and many others.
The only time you should really get banned for hacking L4D2 is injecting.

And you can turn off and then turn on input?
