You can skip the first one. There's nothing too big in it. Everything gets explained in 2 and Revelations.

I hope the later games are a lot easier, I'm just stuck on the first one, always stuck on some kind of trap...and when I get pass it, there is another trap after that one that I can get pass. Also, in the first one, there was a lot less fighting than I expected, and it got really boring and repetitive.
