The driver was in a hurry, so he tried to drive through while the poles were going down, then a few seconds later a train arrived, they crashed into one pole first, which made them unable to run away, and then got hit by the train.

Well it's the drivers fault IMO .
however the passenger was unlucky for driving with him at that moment .
