Yeah. In all honesty, IPB forums are shit. vBulletin - being a bitch and costing maybe 200$ for it, is outrageous. Dave paying that much money, I doubt he'd want IPB.

We had IPB wayyy back. It sucks. Also we will never get a shoutbox, with the amount of traffic MPGH gets it will lag the site into submission and will be filled with kids screaming "WHERE TEH HAZ Z0MG".
