Sending Keys (Hotkeys) to Vindictus
Hey Guys

I'm trying to make a tool that allows me to send keystrokes to Vindictus which are supposed to activate pre-set Hotkeys such as F6-F11 (Emotes) and this kind of stuff but for some reason I can't get this to work. Only thing I managed to get to work is sending String sequences and any other Key that wasn't set as Hotkey.. Is there any way for a workaround?

Would appreciate any kind of help.

P.S.: I tried with AutoIT too and it still does not work. I'm coding the program in VB.NET and so far, I've tried anything I could come up with (SendKey class, keyboard_event/SendMessage/PostMessage API's).. but nothing works for what I want to do..

Thanks

Start the program as admin.
Running a program as admin is a must to make it fully work without any limitation so yes, I've been running the Tool since the first time..

Trying to get some help in the VB.NET Coding section http://www.mpgh.net/forum/33-visual-...vindictus.html but I thought I'd ask here in this section aswell since my problem involves Vindictus..
Don't use VB.NET for this... Learn C or C++ and write it in one of those languages.
I'm not much experienced in C++ yet as I didn't find the time to get a more in-depth look into it and experiment around to learn stuff but I guess I'll give it a try and hope it works. C# ain't an option for me because it has a totally different syntax which I'm not familiar with lol More advices would be greatly appreciated ^^

Ok here I am again after testing it with C++ but the result was the same.. No difference :/

I can see that it sends stuff to the Game by having the Ingame chat open.. but when it's closed nothing happens..

That's how I declared the function to call:

void SendKeyStroke(BYTE VKCode)
{
SetForegroundWindow(FindWindow(0, L"Vindictus"));

keybd_event(VKCode, NULL, 0, NULL);
keybd_event(VKCode, NULL, KEYEVENTF_KEYUP, NULL);
}

and I simply call it with

SendKeyStroke(VK_F8);

But it does nothing.. obviously I'm running it as admin aswell.. x.x

if I do SendKeyStroke(VK_A), it sends the letter "a" to the chat.. and that's all about it.. hotkeys used ingame won't work for me and I hope there's a workaround..
Problem solved.

Have to rely on Microsoft's On-Screen Keyboard with the use of PostMessage API (Simulating Button clicks on OSK's Control Handle) to Input Keys to Vindictus.
Works perfectly fine without problems. Using PostMessage directly on Vindictus didn't seem to work either lol

Thanks everyone for helping.
