❓ Retail verion and Steam Version

So recently like a dumb butt, got myself globally banned in Dayz. I was wondering since I got banned in the retail version, that if i can just buy the steam version from the steam store, will it read my key as the banned version from the retail?

No, when you run ArmA II in Steam the registry entry will be updated with the CD-key associated with the Steam copy of ArmA II.

So i will be able to play with the steam version of the game, and it wont read the retail version key? or is there other key changers and all i still have to use?

All you have to do is buy the Steam version of the game, run it and it will then change the key in the registry to the one that is associated with the Steam copy. You can buy it, run it and play without worrying about your banned key.
