Well as the tittle says can you use a "game pad" <wired xbox controller usb gamepads ect..> On combat arms and if there isnt a way do you think there ever could be a way to make it work?

There is a way to do it, I actually used my XBOX control on CA about a month ago, but really the thing that I hate when I used it was that the way you move around with the Computer is better then how you play with the control.
a regular kb+mouse is better from personal experiences.
For Xbox or PS3 - Install the driver for the controller on your computer and everything should be fine.
Then just follow regular controller instructions I think.

Nope doesn't work that way, Combat Arms is made for Keyboard and Mouse only, there are only a few games compatible with XBOX controls, that is why for CA you use GamePad so you can set the controls for CA so it will function In-Game.
I used xpadder, but I must warn you. It's better to play with the keyboard and mouse.
