You technically can't take a picture of a sunset, it will fuck up your camera, like your eyes. =)

Needs a special filter.

lol yeah. you cant say you "made" the sig cause u cropped out the pic and scribbled your name on it.

you actually have to make an effort to something in it. whether it be a simple manipulations or whatnot, it cant just be a stock with your name on it. thats not really making anything.

I actually believe its called a photomanip.

Graphics can basically be any kind of art made thorugh a digital format so, pictures, sigs, vectors w/e

If you add effects or lighting to a stock post the original picture for proof.

I think this is a good rule that should be enforced, plus it helps if later on you need a stock there is a supply of them on the site.

Just my 2 cents.

you jhsut gave me an idea, then it got shot down

a database or library of stocks , brushes, fonts, c4ds on the site

but then it got shotdown, thats pointlessly wasting daves money and bandwidth. not good

so, i think we need to police sigs a little more. well, more likely police the photomanips in the contests, most of them where lightly filtered with sa little whipsy colour, some where completely solo and out there (like the snow one, that was not a little manip at all !)

then again you cuold argue gfx is a wide range of things, but on forums gfx usually refers to creating a graphic for online use/showoff or manipulating a photo or stock to resemble the same outcome.

it extends out into a broader variety of graphic ability and topics, but its too deep. lets just say, dont get a stock and put a colour on it saying its a sigg

oh yea, btw...cropping a pic isnt a manip...you have to DO something to it first

its easy to tell people what not to do, but you know some people are still gonna do it (like hacking. we know its not "fair" but we still do it right? lol)

what im getting at is, we can tell them its not a made sig but that wont stop them from doing it, we know what counts and what doesnt so we can jsut take that into account and decide whether it should be included or excluded from the competition.

liek the title says, its a "signature" of the week, not a "crop and name" of the week.
