I received a hit elbow hit right in the middle of my chest.. whenever i take a deep breath it hurts, is it worth seeing the doctor?

Breathe normally?

Honestly, if it bothers you that much, go see a doctor.

Otherwise, ignore it for a few days.

If you start hacking up blood, see a physician.

Go to the hospital.

Probably nothing big. Wait a day or 2 then if it doesn't get better, go.

can an elbow hit fracture a rib? it was a pretty solid hit, i lost my breath after it

yea, its possible, you should see your doctor or wait it out its probably nothing serious

yea maybe, but now its also hurting when i bend

probably, if the rib had already sustained enough damage/ was feeling particularly brittle that day.

What are the symptoms?

A fractured rib may cause:

Mild to severe pain in the injured area.
Pain when you breathe.
Pain around the fracture when someone pushes on your breastbone.
If you can't breathe normally because of pain or flail chest, you may:

Feel short of breath.
Feel anxious, restless, or scared.
Have a headache.
Feel dizzy, tired, or sleepy.

In the car while coming back i had an headache and slept... i think ill go see a doctor just to be sure

sounds like you broke a rib

Either a bruised rib, hairline fractured rib, or you bruised the cartilage. Wait three or four days, if after then the pain is not starting to subside to to your physician and have X-Rays taken.
