Well the cameraman was filming the thing. If it was real, it would be too serious for a random guy to start filming it and nobody saying a word to him.

He was filming it from his phone, and he wasn't doing anything because 7-11 has security cameras.
If he attacks the store owners, technically he is in the wrong and the owners would have videotape to prove that.
