Easy Alternative to Patching
To all of you who are having trouble with the patch taking a long time.
If you go to crossfire.subagames.com you can download the client again and the you don't have to download the 1011 patch. For me it took me a total of 40 minutes to get playing the game again. They updated the client download so it now contains the 1011 patch. That is the only way to get by the major slowness of this patch.

As soon as it freezes, Cancel it and reopen crossfire.
The updater will go to the % it was at before, and it won't be frozen anymore

download that... it is the Crossfire downloader... the patches are in the downloader.. so no having to wait for the .cab files to download once downloaded & installed.. they are already included. hope i helped
