C# is relatively easy to learn and comes with .NET and its libraries, but learning something lower level will be good. Depends on your experience; with C++ it's really easy to make memory leaks/broken apps, but .net's managed code fixes most problems beginners make.
If you ever want to learn C++, do it under a professional instructor. C# can be picked up by tuts, a c++ instructor will help get rid of bad habits. Also, C# jobs are being outsourced into India, so whichever one you choose know there's a lot of outsourcing.
