SSD for laptops?

Can you install a SSD on your laptop? How difficult is it to do so?

Yes, not difficult. There should be a spot under your laptop that has a rectangle box with screws, just unscrew and take out the HDD and replace with SSD.

Laptops generally uses 2.5" inch drives.
SSDs are commonly 2.5" inch.

Your manufacturers website may have a guide for your model (go and check), or you can just search your laptop model on youtube and see if anyone made a video guide. Also make sure the hardware is of course compatible.

You can install SSDs in laptops

Laptops before 2009 don't get much faster since they see even the SSD as a 7200 rpm normal HDD. If your machine is newer go for it, and installing it is easy , look under your laptop there are a few places you could unscrew , find the one with an engraved stacked CD`s , that's where the disk is.

You can often replace your CD/DVD drive for an SSD, instead of the HDD.
Just search for a 'SSD Caddy' or something

For most laptops you can just open the HDD bay, remove the regular HDD and switch in the SDD.
