Amendment 64 - Colorado!

So, yeah, you may know about this amendment and it so happens I live in the state where it's been put into play - Amendment 64; the legalization of Marijuana use. This was just made last night I believe, so pretty cool.

Obviously, it's gonna be regulated a bit like alcohol. One thing I know is we're allowed to grow a max of 6 plants, you have to be 21 years +, and you can't publicly use it. I'm not sure if you can drive high yet though - but most regulations are very similar to alcohol. What's your guys' thoughts on this?

hopefully if this works out well there'd be less stigma towards cannabis

Fuck yeah, pretty happy.

My assumption is, if this amendment stays in, and there's no problems, I'm sure more and more states will begin to pass the same kind of amendment. Sadly, if for some reason the government didn't like it - they could march in here and bust everyone for it because Federal > State.

they just followin their daddy - Colorado.

once the day comes that I am 21 years old, and marijuana is safely produced and marketed, I'll have no regrets about trying it.

you cant just "move" or go there and smoke you have to be a resident for the amendment to apply to you and once you move there is a waiting period of some sort to become a full citizen of colorado or something so people dont just move to smoke weed.

I live in Washington where Initiative I-502 passed also legalizing marijuana. If my understanding is correct both Washington and Colorado implemented a 5ng limit of active THC in the blood for DUI purposes.

should be legalized in all states to help the economy

I'll just buy it from people who can get it legally I have a fuckload of friends in colorado I met a rave in brooklyn
