IndustrialCraft Mod (All Mods)
Can someone dummy-down the process of putting a mod into minecraft?
Sure.

First, you wanna download the mod you'd like to install. You should download a bunch of class files, and possibly folders. Not exactly sure anymore, just depends where you got your mod, and what it is.

Second, you want to right click on your minecraft.jar and press, "Open with WinRAR".

Thirdly, you want to DELETE the "META-INF" folder. After you delete that folder, you can copy and paste all of the mod files into the minecraft.jar. (The classes, etc).

Then, start up MC and it should be in. Some mods require different things, so make sure you read if it needs any extra mods, etc.
Alright, Thanks. Ill be sure to try that.
Alright. If you still need help, just post here. If anything, try looking up a video tutorial on Youtube. That's always my first resort.
I tried what you said, and it was the same thing as the youtube videos i watched. But sadly, no luck I also tried to uninstall/delete all my minecraft files and re-downloading it to make sure nothing was altered or missing, but no luck. Im kinda stuck so I was looking for any more suggestions.

Well, what version of minecraft are you playing on atm?

That has nothing to do with it.

Well, it does play in. If the mod isn't compatible / up to date, then that could be the problem. OP, make sure the mod you want to install is up to date and works for the Minecraft version you're trying to install it on. Secondly, make sure the mod doesn't have any dependencies - meaning; make sure it doesn't need any other mods installed to work such as Modloader, or something like that.

Some mods require to have 1-2 more mods in order for it to work, so try reading the thread. I'm sure if you found the official thread for the mod (IE; the official mc forums) the thread would most likely have all that information including how to install it.
