Half of it goes to taxes. Either way I don't gamble for small odds. I only pick up 1 dollar tickets, if I win five bucks I grab five more 1 dollar tickets, no matter what I never spend more than the initial dollar in a sitting.

Well my dad, mom, and sister all bought tickets but I doubt they'd win. Chances of getting struck by lightning is greater than the chances of winning the lottery.
