Manual Key change

My steam folder has been relocated to my H drive, and because of this none of the CD key changers on here are able to find the path, just wondering if anyone can tell me how to manually change my CD key? Maybe guide me through on skype? I know its some regedit stuff but i dont want to screw anything up in there

Any help would be appreciated

1. Go to your start menu and type in "regedit"

2. Open it up and then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and then click on "SOFTWARE"

3. Scroll down towards the bottom till you see Wow6432Node.

4. Scroll towards half way till you see Bohemia Interactive Studio.

5. Click on that then click on ArmaOA. The right side should say "KEY"

6. Lastly, right click on "KEY" and choose "Modify" than you will see numbers. Example: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00. Change those numbers to your NEW key. Click save and then your done.

its like earthylol says but i have read somewhere that u cant change ur steamkey cuz it overwrites the new key with ur old when u start the game ...so dont wonder if it dont work

And dude666, it will work fine aslong as you launch the game via DayZ commander or SIX

Exactly, don't run it via Steam otherwise it will overwrite the new key. Make sure you have your key saved some where on your computer so that you have it if you accidentally start the game via Steam.

oh didnt know that ..so this means i can install my steam version :P and just launch it with dayz commander ...nice

Just edit the permissions in the Arma 2 OA folder to deny. That way steam cant change it back
