Trusted Sellers Thread?

Is there some way we could have a sticky thread in the Selling / Trading / and Buying forum for trusted Gold selling sites and possibly even trusted MPGH Members? It seems fitting for there to be a thread like this along side the Suspicious Accounts and Ect Thread.

I think it could prove useful.

Well, you can't really say that someone is trusted.

i'm all in for a thread of trusted middle man lol

I would assume all the Official MM are trusted. I'm more towards the idea of having a place to put people in the community who have had a lot of successful trades with proof so that when new people come in they know who to trust.

I have no idea who is official MM or who isn't, I'm not doing business with anyone else but famous people (like dew) anyway.

There's a sticky. In the STB section.

So shallow.

Trust me! Trust me!

Well... the only way to see if someone can be trusted is he has already done trades and people vouch for him.
So if a seller/buyer want to prove he's trustworthy, he can link threads where he buys/sells and that people vouched for the trade.
Making sticky for that ain't gonna help.
Just like someone could make fake vouches/sales or made past transactions and decides to scam for his last transaction.

I understand that. This is why we should have the section. If there was a place to compile all of your transactions and proof in one thread, I feel like it would be less likely for people to have fake vouches and fake proof. Instead of having it scattered everywhere and having to take peoples word on whether the single piece of proof they present you in any instance is real.

But how do you plan on making that thread with "real" vouches? How do you know it's a real vouch or not?
People that make fake vouches will still make them for that thread. It's not because there's a thread that someone won't decide to start scamming or make fake proofs.
Looking back at past threads of transactions from the buyer/seller just does the same thing.
If you put a big thread with "trusted" selllers, it's gonna get too big and weird. It's not gonna help in any way.
Everytime I sell a new item, a person has to go on that thread and vouch? It's going to become a really long thread.
If it's managed by mods, it's gonna be a big job for them, for something as simple as asking the seller to link his past selling threads.

I was just thinking you could take pictures form the transaction yourself and edit the post you would already have inside the thread and add on to it, kind of like a portfolio.

I do somewhat agree with this and at the beginning it would be a bit useless but, if you think about people that sell things here a lot, having a large list of succeed sales in a thread such as this would be beneficial to them. Unless a scammer wants to build a large fake portfolio over a long period of time just to scam someone once and have their post in the disputed. Hey, it will happen from time to time, but this would most likely make scams happen less often. This method would probably also help old proofs from being reused by scammers.

Newbie comes in and see's trusted sellers thread.
Finds a list of said sellers with their succeed trades.
Based on how many each has they decide who to ask.

Maybe, I'm just trying too hard.
Any other discrepancies?

Couldn't you just require an official middleman to verify a successful transaction and only tally those? Not fool proof, but if you're paranoid to that extent you're better off not risking it anyways. You have to live with the fact that there is no method to guarantee you won't be scammed, you're using multiple services beyond their designed functionality and the only way it'll work is if you trust the person you're dealing with to some extent.

I believe you may have misread my intent. I sell things on this forum, I was simply trying to find an easier way for people to find out who they want to buy from. If this could in any way help anyone or increase peoples trust with me, then I would like to shoot for it.

Oh well.

Yes, but there isn't really any gold seller atm just newbs looking to scam
