Try updating your Java. Go to Java's official page and download the most recent Java and see if it works. That's a common reason as to why you would be getting a java error.

To elaborate on Retard's post, you specifically need either the JDK, or the JRE. JRE ( Java Run-time Environment ) is the one you probably want if you're not a java developer, which you obviously aren't considering you don't have the JDK already.
