USWest FULL

Is it just me or is USWest irregularly full these past few days? I know it's the holidays which might explain it but I can't help thinking the trade bot that is publicly available now is making it harder and harder for legit players to get into USWest. Even if a faction of the community uses the trade bot (some will run multiple bots at once) I don't think it would be hard to believe that we'll start seeing USWest full 24/7 making it impossible for legit players to get in.

Haven't really noticed since, well, I'm not a legit player lol, but it is a possibility. Although I don't think the first releases of the bot were working optimally enough for it to be the cause.

Oh god the tradebot is public now? Everyone's going to be mass-merchanting now. Just another issue for the economy lol. However, it's nice to see the game at least seeming to have more activity even if it's fake.

Issue for the economy? Not really, since it won't affect prices.

Hum... it would be fun if everyone used the trade bot on USWEST... Server full of trade bot = no players = no trades = trades bot become useless...

On the other side, this new trade bot is epic...

I wonder, is there any way to detect a trade bot instance from another instance?
I mean : dont allow the user to launch more than one bot on the computer?

Just use the forums to trade.

Trade Bot is already limited so only two bots can be active at a time...

I could probably make it so that only 1 bot can be active at any server at a given time.

Or remove it from USWest altogether.

Also there is a built-in safeguard to only work with the current .swf version, so i can pull the plug of the whole project at any moment.
