Actually, clis01 could be right. I'm also 'okay' with it as long as it's highly regulated and not in the hands of profiteering gluttons. But, i've found no one really cares what every one else in these threads think, except when they want to score brownie points.

To be honest, like i know what stem cell research is, but it is not a concern in my life. Like I am like any other "Normal" human being. I tend to not look into a subject without having a reason to. If i knew someone who had cancer and they are very close to me, I would probably support it. But I dont know the risk of the research or anything.

Yeah, genetics has about reached the max that it can. It is a science that needs to be paid attention to in about a few decades because we just don't have technology to go farther on with research right now. Stem cell research should be saved for later, I am completely pro-research and don't think it's inhumane but I just think it needs to be funded for and stuff later.

Yeah but your forgetting that people are dying NOW, they can't wait for your obscure "later" date. The reason stem cell research hasn't advanced as quickly as we had hoped was because The Bush administration put a ban on government funding for stem cell research. Who else has enough money to fund something like this? Pharmecutical companies sure aren't in a hurry to support stem cell research because they make money from treatment not prevention.

I don't think a person is good if they only base their viewpoints on what will benefit them at that time =p

and stem cells are not as important to medical research as people think. They havent even found a cure to any cancer using stem cells but they may find a cure for lung cancer using the origins of lungs threw stem cells.
