You could try the AVG clean up software as we use it for our for customers.......... It does a good job but you need to buy AVG Antivirus to get it free.

Or just shit on your PC....... that might work.

Always played with low end comps, so it'll take a while for me to adjust

my laptop is a piece of crap, i don't even bother using it anymore to seriously game (except for a few fps's and mmorpg's that are only on the comp)
everything else, like cod, re, skyrim, and mc, I use 360.

As far as regular use, it runs pretty gewd. You should try defragging your hard drive and maybe running CCleaner. That always works for me, especially if I uninstall a bunch of useless programs.
