Weird Duplication Glitch?

Hey guys I was just playing along on a server, vanilla minecraft, when I came across something extremely weird. While I was wandering around the base of the most powerful non-ranked dude on the server, (has like chest fulls of diamonds) I came across something extremely strange. I know a duplication machine when I see one, and this definitely looked like one. All it does is push out a wall of crafting tables with pistons, but I'm quite sure it does more, I just don't know how. I'm sure some of you would be drooling to get your hands on a vanilla MC dupe glitch, and I would be too. If anyone has ANY idea what this machine does, how it works, if I'm totally wrong about this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe you put things in craftingtable pull the lever and dupe?

Replicated it. Not sure what it does. And @RooBois if you try place something in a crafting table and leave the crafting table you drop the item. but yea maybe someone can figure this out

Its not a duplication machine, it simply is a crusher for people so they cant enderpearl out. Im guessing someone whoever lives in the area /tpahere's people or gets people to tpa to him, then another person hits the switch and you get free items. Either that, or stand in the machine, place your items in the crafting table and die, see what happens... im not guessing it dupes but you never know...
