Question about vinpub and client
I'm new to this scene.

Anyone know what vinpub does exactly? Figure I'd ask before decompiling and stumbling through it like a drunk man.

I get that the console .dll's injected into client that allowed the console, so how about directly changing client and swapping it out like the filesystem_stdio for the mods?

Also, I haven't tried anything yet, but are these dll's written in c or .net?

With my skill in assembly it'd take days-weeks to understand it, so just trying to get an idea if it's worth it.

All the versions of VinPub are patched. They created new commands in the game, such as ohk, godmode and aoe. Depending on the VinPub version, these commands were either directly bound to a key, or could be used via a console.
So I take it vinpub manipulated the source engine for these commands? Is creating a new version of the commands, or a work around command unfeasible? I've never worked with the source engine, so I'd have to read up on it, but binding sounds far easier than wading through assembly, especially if I only need 5 or so commands. Though from what you're saying, they patched the workarounds I take it...
Currently there are some works for Vindictus VinPub U.S.???
