Depends on what resolution you're playing on, the settings and your fps.
You could be playing on 1280x720 on ultra just fine, but there's a huge jump when you go 1080p.
It's not a BAD Card per se but it's not something meant for high end gaming.

1680x1050 ):
If you google 550ti then on Nvidia's website it says "Stunning performance for games in resolutions up to 1680x1050"
I guess if you stick to that res you'll be fine, but if you ever get a bigger monitor and go 1080p then anything in Nvidia's x60ti or x70 range is the best.
For the current gen it'll be 660ti or 670. And if you want to go AMD then the 7950 provides a card that's in the middle of both.

BSOD's shouldn't be common unless there is a fault somewhere.
When you get one next time take a picture of the bsod screen and send it to me.

i've replaced everything except hard drive, process, and mother board. (for memory i've added 8GB onto the original 4GB
Plus i have windows 8, so its looks like this:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You computer has run into a problem and will restart automatically.

Don't you have a camera? Lol.
Ah damn, yeah windows 8 bsods arent very informative.
Is there like a 'more information' button when you get the bsod?
I'm pretty sure there is an error code they still give you.
When i tried to install new drivers once i got the error code IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL on windows 8. It's pretty easy to find the fault if you can get the error code.
