Error when changing key.

Hello I don't know if this is the best place to place this thread but I couldn't find anywhere else to place it.
I'm using darkeys cd key changer but I get a error:
"Failed to set key!
Error Code: 5
Error message: Access denied."

And if I'm trying to change it via regedit I get a error saying that I can't edit Key an error occurred while writing the new value.

Does anyone have a good idea on how to fix this?

Run As Admin? Or Try Removing Dashes From Key.. Sorry If I Didnt Help.. : P

That's to no help. There are literally 10 different errors easily.

You will have to get to regedit manually and set permissions "Set Value" to "Allow" and then change key. Remember that steam changes back your key back so either you have to put the permissions to "Deny" again after key change or you will have to uncheck "Launch with steam" in dayzcommander.

Searching the forums for the error did not help me.

I'm running it as admin but no luck and same with the dashes :/

I have everything on allow but I still get the same message.

The error is because you don't have the proper permissions to change it. So make sure you right click ArmA2OA in regedit, go to "Permissions...", Press "Advanced" then "Edit..." and then Allow "Set Value". Also don't forget to have it at "This key and every subkey"

Ah okay, it worked now It didn't help to change the admin option, I had to choose the "everyone" and then allow set value and now it worked, thanks alot!
