I get a x-trap error, every time i try to start cf eu...
I am using Windows 8 pro.

I already tried..
go to gamerage site and check if cf is compatible with windows 8
if you have any dll file on CF EU folder with hack intentions, remove it.
If not, just uninstall the game completely and download it again.

@thryebac i know but i dont have the ''compatible'' option in that menu... so i cant ''un''select the compatible mode.

There isn't a 'compatibility' session.. I cant choose that because it dont stand between the properties..
OMG how the fuck there isn't a file with compatibility mode available? i think you're confusing the files, some don't have it, others have it, so keep looking for it. "Crossfire" file must have it, "HGWC" file must have it, some files inside X-TRAP folder must have it, so find out wich has it. Unless Windows 8 has the compatibility settings disabled... i don't know how that windows works...
If you are SURE that you don't have any 'compatibility' session on the properties, then try this:
go to C:/Wi.ndows/System32/drivers/etc./ and delete all files in that folder. try to run the patcher again. tell me if it worked.

i didn't deleted the files but i cut 'em from that /etc folder and paste them into any folder from desktop
these are the files: hosts hosts.ics and Imhosts.sam

still dont work.. I deleted the files from the etc folder.. But it didnt help. But thanks for trying to help me out guys! I really appreciate that!!
