Help with hacking

Hey guys i play an old style game that is severely abandoned, and i was wondering if there was a way to learn how to make a hack that grabs a password off a database, or spawn items, and stuff. The game is a old 2d rpg and like 5 people play there is almost never any admins on if they are on they are afk for 12 hours and then dc, or log of for 6 weeks-5 months.
