I was actually happy with this flashback, it tells us quite a bit of background information about how they feel and such about war. Both have lost brothers and heck i didn't know madara had 4 brothers.

Really interesting.

Problem I'm finding is that regardless of the siblings midara and 1st had, it is going to turn out like this:

Hey we are fighting a war. Why? BECAUSE!!!.

But war is wrong!? Why must we fight? Lets make peace!

Wait, you can do that?! Oh ok.

Naruto being clan based, means all "wars" don't share the same effect they do in modern times(well for the last thousand+ years actually). A small clan of shinobi can request peace but it seems like the reason of war should very well be outlined. Do they just hate each other? why? Just because they kill each other? That seems pretty stupid. I hate so and so because they killed so and so because we killed so and so. Its a cycle but its more along the lines of gang violence than ninja.

All in all i feel as if Naruto is going down the "stupid reason for war so lets have peace instead" path. Which is funny because they obviously fucked over the uchiha after the war anyway.

Yeah, but that is all we know. Neither of the 2, Hirashima and Madara, showed any affection to any other the brothers that we don't know anything about so far.
It's like saying, "Hey its almost 3 c'clock. So what?"

It wouldn't surprise me if the siblings weren't important at all.

But Tobirama's my favorite

You know who needs some more depth? Izuna and Shisui, we need a flashback chapter dedicated to them.

But that was my favorite part! Man those uchiha look so much more badass than the rest of the characters in the show lol.

Didn't read this when it first came out (was too busy with applying to college and shit) and then forgot to post here when I did read it.

Kind of a boring chapter, not much happened, but it's building up to something, so I can let it fly. :P
