regdelnull?! or alternative ?

hey anyone used this tool succssfully to remove his 000000 code????
cause ive been trying for hours now and i dont get it to work (it doesnt find the key if i scan just hklm, and if i enter the path where the key is saved it doesnt work)
or does anyone have a alternative solution then restoring the system ?
i dont have a restore point where the registry is fixed please help

i started the thread because i red the sticky and the described solution doesnt work for me

i have even red most of the post in this thread and i couldnt find anyone who got it working (they all did restores, cant do it, if someone tells me how i will)

and i tried running it through steam even before i started this thread, i didnt help

i need to delete/change the 00000000 code in my registry somehow (most likely with a 3rd party tool) to get it done

regdelnull is the tool which is recommended in the sticky, ive red up on it for along time, and i think i got it working, but it didnt change the code to * like it should somehow (maybe i did something wrong, altho im pretty sure thats not the case)
ive tried redirecting it to the arma2 OA folder and to the key itself and ive run it for the whole local machine, but nothing resolved the problem
