Well if you want the crosshair to work, instead of your theory couldn't you just change your desktop resolution so that it's zoomed in, then change your combat arms resolution to that one for example: 800x600 - Desktop screen resolution, its not zoomed in than change your settings in combat arms to 800x600. Works for me. Than when your done just change it back.

Or you can change the game resolution.it works but wont let me go into channel...every1 don't try this...
