Meh, haven't really read what changed. Only took them forever to come out with another big update.

Yeah, kinda. Not sure what I feel about that. You can buy servers from Mojang -- it'll be a pro to have a constant 24/7 server up, and pretty good connection (I assume), but not sure if there's any downsides to it.

this is the best update for redstone makers

Well, I'll stay on 1.4.7...

The redstone update is in my opinion useless, though I'm using RedPower 2 (which is much easier and cooler

)

+ The modding API didn't come with the update (which some people thought)
