Failed to connect to server?

So i just downloaded the new update for crossfire, and everytime i boot up the client, it says " Failed to connect to server" then closes the client. the log in screen pops up, but i cant type anything because this error is in the way. any solutions?

I get the same, They probably screwed up something and shut down the game, or updating something who knows, just keep up and try again in like an hour : D

the server is down for maintenance
