Gaming Headset Help !

Okay so, I'm going to get a new headset because I broke my turtle beaches and I pretty much have my mind set on the "Astro A40's".
So what i want to know is -
1. Does anyone know how the microphone quality is? because I'm most likely going to be recording with it.
2. Does this ebay page look legit ? 2013 Astro Gaming A40 Over Ear Headset with Boom Mic Neon Orange Headset Only | eBay

Everything about the headset is great, can get a bit uncomfortable after a bit though.

That ebay page is legit... It is Astro's Page, even if it isnt, it has 1500 rep and 98% positive feedback.

Hmmmm, probably get it. Just didn't know if the page was legit, seems a little cheap considering those sets are like $250 on the site.

The feedback is fine, if you don't receive the product or it is damaged or something, make a claim. Get yo money back.

The microphone quality is good, yet not the best in the world.
Depending on what you are recording for you might want to buy a separate microphone.
If you are just doing commentaries or something then these are fine. If you are gonna be a voice actor or some shit then these are trash.
PS: what do you intend to use them for?

Just saying, I haven't purchased nor tried any products from Astro but since it states it's a gaming headset it's typically more focused on the output sound rather than the microphone quality. You record often for what? If it's for like commentaries and stuff it should be fine.
Now according to what I've been reading the sound is amazing and you can hear even the smallest details of sound and the microphone is between decent and good as well.

Gaming headsets fucking suck.
It's better to get a separate pair of headphones + standalone mic.
Save your fucking money @UnlogicalSloth .
