Need a little help

Hey everyone, im learning c++ and i have got alot of the basics down, pointers, classes, variables and more. Im not just any newbie, i know slight c++ and i accept the fact that i wont just wake up tomorrow and code a "l337 hack!". But i have run into some trouble, i thought i had enough experience to make hacks, seeing as i had learnt alot of the basics, but i have no idea where to start. BTW i am mostly coding for crossfire

Start simple for your next step, read into the system API. Stuff like ReadProcessMemory / WriteProcessMemory to alter another applications memory externally.
Work from there into learning how to create and inject a DLL.

If Crossfire has an SDK, look into working with it to obtain information inside the game after you are injected (DLL) and so on.
