So today in box, I was boxing with a friend of mine, although he isn't that much of a match for me, I held my right hand next to my right ear, and he managed to hit it since he is tall af, and I ended up having my boxing gloves' flat side on my ear. It wasn't that hard and I've experienced this before, but this time it was really bad. The flat side hit it exactly right. It was like as if you would stick your finger in your ear, thats what I could hear(and still do).

It happened a few hours ago, and I'm worried af. I don't wanna end up half deaf for the rest of my life. Do you guys think it'll pass away the next day after a good rest?

Its eleven at night for me. Idk what doctor is doing his service right now.

I don't really think thats a severe injury. Its just a plain flat hit to my ear by my own boxing gloves which ended up pretty damn bad. I really hope its going over when I wake up

go to the hospital then its 24/7

hopefully it will be better by tomorrow, if not go to the ER

Your hearing in that ear would probably decrease but not to the point of being deaf.

You said it's like putting your finger in your ear, which means you can slightly hear.
You more than likely just popped it real bad.
It SHOULD go away, if not it's off to the ER.

I did the same thing when I was a bit younger.

Rest today and if its not gone by tomorrow see your dr

You aren't going to go deaf.... unless you're bleeding out of your ear I wouldn't really worry about it. I've been hit hard before where my hearing went out temporarily and rang for a while. It is normal.

Never heard of boxing someone's ear out?

It temporarily makes them "deaf" for the takedown.
