Visual Basic Thread, First Projects!
My first C++ project was a Hello World.
My First assembly project was a Hello World. (I made it on PC-DOS 5
)
My most recent C++ project was a 2D Game engine. I never finished it, but the latest build supported sprite movement, spritesheets, textboxes, antialiased fonts, transparencies and some other things.
My latest assembly project was a 16 bit operating system that resembled CP/M or MS-DOS. I am now rewriting it from scratch and making it 32 bit (not gonna be easy) . It didn't support much, it supported Loading FAT12 floppy disks, dumping memory, printing register contents, exception handling (if a fatal error occurs it will print register contents, say the error and lock the machine up) Yeah didn't do much. But it was like 4 kilobytes large (most of it went to storing strings, the actual code was no larger than 1 kilobyte)
Creating a fully functional file system driver in like 400 bytes (read: bytes) of data was pretty challenging for me though.
Assembly is all about working in contrainsts, yo.

Cool, my first VB project was a browser.

You didnt make nothing, you copied code from something else, that counts as just compiling someone elses code, not making something by yourself.
This also applies to 95% of the people that posted in this thread.

I started visual basic when I was 8, I don't remember. I think my dad helped me make a hello world program.
