Key Help

First Post, just need some help.

I am trying to swap out my old, banned key for a clean one, (I know it is clean because it is my friends and he does not play anymore) but on start up, it gives me a "bad serial" error.

I checked the key in Darky's Key Changer and it says that it is all good.

I went on to enter it into the registry manually, but still no luck.

Any help would be great, thanks.

If you are changing the OA key and then don't launch OA it won't work. But if you launch OA from steam it will switch your key. Easiest way to stop that is to run Arma 2 OA not from steam. You can do that by following this (C: ) > Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > Arma 2 OA
Now look for _runA2CO and then run that. Don't remove this from this folder, try making a shortcut or just run it once and play dayz. If this didn't work, sorry. I hope it did as it worked for a friend! Good luck!

Has no one had this problem before? My friend was able to change his just fine in regedit but for some reason I cannot. . .
