I cannot find Unity on VMX file. All I find is this "<?xml version="1.0"?>
<Foundry>
<VM>
<ClientMetaData>
<clientMetaDataAttributes/>
<HistoryEventList/></ClientMetaData>
<VMId type="string">52 3a 37 62 b7 c6 37 d7-95 db 30 19 4d cb ce d4</VMId>
<vmxPathName type="string">Clone of Windows 7 x64.vmx</vmxPathName></VM></Foundry>"

which VMware version are you using?
someone please, give me their file that's ends with .vmx that is all I need.
Everyone having the issue with locating the word ''unity'', delete your installed windows and repeat step 4 then step 3, or without deleting windows do the step 7,delete original VM, then do step 5.
That should solve it.

Lol no the reason there isn't the word is because you need the newest version cuz the old version don't have the feature Unity therefore the only fix is to download the newest version , anyways everything worked out great at the end for me, thanks for the tut!

Copy the setup.exe from your main PC desktop to your VM desktop. Simple, it's what I did.

At the bottom of your VM window (not your VM desktop your VM application) find the network icon (), double click it and change it to NAT.
