[Help] Darky's not working?

Darky's not working?

No matter how many times I try, Darky's key changer wont work. Ive tried:

1. Diabling UAC
2. Running in XP compatibility
3. Changing registry
4. Running A2:OA as admin
5. Trying different key changers

I run Windows 8 and use Dayz Commander.

I have also found darky key changer has stopped working

It should be just a error and should hopefully work later, I have had problems with it many times and i just wait

What exactly isn't working? The checking function? That has nothing to do with the program. It's the Master Gamespy/Battleye servers.

Try re-installing Darky's Keychanger, if not you can try doing it manually.

I tried reinstalling Darky's already, but I didn't say what happens:

Basically I change my key into a working, non-banned one, and and it shows that my key is the new one, but when I check it on Steam it is still the banned one. I have already changed my registry multiple times to make sure that no program after Darky's can change the key back, but it just does not change. It also says in registry that it hasn't changed, but it just never does.

Currently I am not on my main computer but at a friends a cousins house. I'll try it again when I get to my main computer, thanks chickeninabiskit.

What does the key that you bought off of Steam have anything to do with what the one is in your registry? If you don't disallow permissions, and you launch with Steam, it will revert back to that old Steam key. But I'm assuming you haven't even tried playing the game yet. You're just looking at that copy of game's key. It will never go away. That's the key that came with the instance of Arma 2:OA you bought. Steam does not tell you what your current registry key is. If you change it with Darky, and if your registry is saying it's changed, and you don't launch with Steam (You can. You just have to disallow permissions.), then the new key will stay.

Oh O_O. I launched the game once already. It's the changing part that isn't working for me. I try going into DayZ commander and going into a game and every time I do it says it has been globally banned by BattleEye. I'll just try it when I get home.

If you're launching with DayZ Commander, you need to go into "settings" and uncheck "Launch using Steam". If you don't, it will once again revert your key back

I have. Thanks for the help. I'll try it when I get home, and if it it doesn't work then I'm just not going to play DayZ.

One more thing. You sure the key you're switching to isn't banned also?

I am 100% positive.
