Trying to understand the changes made in how SOE bans

I am by no means savy when it comes to what most of you guys do hear, by that I mean programming, and this may sound like a stupid question but I have been trying to figure out what measures they take to ban some one and if there are ways around them. I have looked around this thread quite a bit and it seems most of the information provided is either out of date or completely false.

I would really just like to play the game I love again and right now the only option there seems to be is buying a whole new rig and getting a new ip. Any help would be appreciated, even if it's just telling me there is nothing I can do right now.

SOE is perma banning cheaters using the hard disk serial numbers (not the volume numbers, the physical serials that are unique in the firmware of the disk), the only way to bypass this is either by spoofing the serial number or getting a new hard drive.

They don't have any anti cheat protection, literally 0. You can actually use the simple cheat engine and the game wouldn't kick you out.

How they are detecting the use of cheats is through the wws_crashreport_uploader.exe which exists in the following locations:

- C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\SCE (the crash reporter is created here and deleted once the report is sent so the folder always appears to be empty)

- C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp\SCE\ (the crash reporter is created here and deleted once the report is sent so the folder always appears to be empty)

- C:\Users\Public\Sony Online Entertainment\Installed Games\PlanetSide 2

- C:\Users\Public\Sony Online Entertainment\Installed Games\PlanetSide 2\LaunchPad.libs

- C:\Crash (Both the folder and the crashreporter are created and deleted so it appears that neither the folder or the file ever exist)

The best way to avoid being detected by means of this crash reporter is by blocking all of these crash reporters outgoing communications in your firewall.

Of course this doesn't mean that you will be fullproof, a GM can still see the way you act, check your stats and catch any suspicious thing from you without the crash report logs but it will allow you to not get any hack detected since the crash reporter is what creates a memory dump.

Stat padding is already detected easily, you may think you are not getting detected but their system will flag your account to be checked and they will remove any certs you earned and spent during your stat padding period.

Aimbotting is a bit harder but as soon as you get reported they will investigate how you are firing, where you are hitting the most (chest mostly shots or headshots) and since they are humans they can easily find those patterns and come to a solid conclusion that you are using aimbot.

Cheats that are 99% impossible to be detected if you blocked the crash reporters correctly: ESP, wallhack, no recoil and no spread hacks.
