[Help] Hackshield "cannot connect to server" error

Hackshield "cannot connect to server" error

Okay....a friend of mine has this problem. He replaced the hackshield folder and tried to run vindictus. He then gets this error : imgur: the simple image sharer. If he deletes currentinfo.txt and patches, he gets the same "cannot connect to the server" error.

Any ideas?

Turning off firewall does nothing.

go to ur vindictus folder delete the folder HShield
download this one
and put it in the vindictus folder where the other HShield folder was

edit: atleast this fixed it for me

I specifically said that does not work and showed a screenshot of the error that happens when he tries that....

Reinstall the game y is he changing the folder?

Because the most common solution is to replace the hackshield folder.

Hes also tried installing the non steam version of the game and installing it on another computer. Didn't work.

Other thing's hes tried :

-Windows update
-System restore to before he got the error
-Disabling anti virus
