Is the VAC ban permanent?

It's not a vac ban if you're talking about the global ban recently. VAC Bans are permanent though.

The ban you're talking about is not part of VAC...
With some luck these crazy kids will find a way to bypass that too

As far as I know, it's suppose to be permanent. But people that got banned in GMOD12 got out in 13 (Or so I've heard).
So permanent might be a relative term.

Or if you can appeal to Garry somehow, but that's doubtful.

I confirm that the new "anti-cheat" scans your desktop for files. I also confirm it searches your lua directory for public hacks.

Does it scan beyond the garrysmod folder? If so, it's illegal.
Pretty sure, that even scanning that is illegal unless you have agreed to this in the EULA.
