Engine.exe False Positives?
I dont know if you guys already knew this or not, but i figured i would tell you. i think its strange.
a fellow mpgh member just asked for one of us to attatch engine.exe, cause he overwrote his or something. with the attatchment, i also included a virus scan (always follow the rules).
the virus scan of the .zip file came out with a few false positives, and i thought maybe it was just a mess up.
i scanned Engine.exe alone just to make sure... 6/41
i know its nothing much, but it is a little strange/
virus scan:
Virustotal. MD5: ea3dfce92384428c8baa8a378595501f Suspicious:W32/Malware!Gemini W32/Heuristic-210!Eldorado Trojan.Packed-142AVG once picked it up as Themida. I think its packed with themida but hidden from virus scanners or something.
It has a keylogger in it....
Most often, patchers will have viruses inside, with the part about people downloading crap with the patches.
its kindof strange...what would the viruses be for?
i mean, falsies in a hack are cause the hack - Hacks something
but what would they do in the engine?
no. engine.exe is the game engine. im pretty sure it handles all the files, and runs everything.
It has a keylogging program and screenshot program in it, that is why you get occasional lag spikes...
