Nope you cant turn ON chams it will DC you...about not working...with me its working as you can see in the screenshot...anyway...did you followed every step?which operation system are you using?

well i don't have delete the TEXTURES.rez file but i have removed him to another map.
than i open the d3dx9_33.exe than there stay's: wait for Engine.exe
i open combatarms, then i press 'game start'
before!!!!! login i pres 'insert' it works i thought great!!!
than i did color on number 2 and wallhack number 1.
than i log in (my pasword) and 'enter'
i logged in i go to shop for taking my sniper. and my picture is blue. than i wanna play 'ready' and we start and i d/c...
what does i wrong???

yes i try it again and i d/c when i will start a game...
and this time i had do: no fog 1 and color 1 than login, join an channel and go in a lobby. than i will start and d/c.
does it still works on vista?
