Combat Arms Section Ideas?

Hey guys...im pretty sure i have no authority to make a thread like this, but im bored and nobody was posting...and i just read that the brainstorms thread was for new In-Game ideas and stuff...
To The Mods: Close This If You Want To...

So, in this thread you guys can say things you think should be changed in the CA Section, like new Sub-Sections, Limiting things depending on your post count, Etc...

Ill start us off.

I think when any new threads with an attatchment in .rar or .zip format is created, it should be a kind of "soft closed". in this, only mods/minions, and the creater of the thread should be able to Edit and post in the thread. this would reduce spam in the thread before an attatchment is approved. but it would also let the mods tell the poster what they need to add before its approved for posting.


NOW ITS YOUR TURN FOR YOUR IDEAS.


Mods, feel free to add ideas you see that sound good to the following list.

-soft close
-help sub section
-google site search as an alternative to waiting 60 seconds for a search. Example: Search CA Section For [Release]
-restore general section
-noob of the week contest. every week we vote who is the biggest noob, and they get the tag [MPGH]Noob for the week.

The Soft Close is Actually a Great idea

We usually have to delete two pages of shit before we approve.

Maybe a soft close to choobs... then again that would create spam. Fkin choobs always will spam

Maybe a chooby corner, where they can spam up till they get their required post count for a download limit. (Maybe they can only post there untill they get like 200 posts)

There is a bug in the edit function? Finish edit is Vote Now button?

i like that soft close.. personally the only idea i got for this forum is to make the help thread a sub forum.. why havent they done that yet?

Yeah sub forum, although it will be visited less, it will get questions answered individually... RIght now You have to keep bumping your posts to keep em noticed

Btw Cut the stickies, make most of them into sub forums to help

What about a Chooby sub section? Choobs are to be restricted there untill they are mature.

What about graduate at 200 or nominated by a member and approved by community

IDEA: A xxx post above required section. it keeps leeching to a minimum, the only part that would be bad is the post requirement, so my idea is to make the BEST hacks in that section (ie OPK or othe stuff, or just posting development stuff)
