I get a white screen when i run it? Can anyone help?

I mean the box that loads is white with an X in it

It's working like others said Check if You did something wrong

I did check, I ran as admin, i even tried changing it to windows 7 compatability. It doesnt work for some reason? The "press f4 to start/ stop" appears, i press OK then it comes up with a white box and a X in the top right corner.
